Sara L. (Burdette) Wester

Sara L. Wester, 98, formerly of Ford City, died Saturday, February 10, 2018 in the Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot.

She was born November 30, 1919 in Ford City, daughter of Frank and Rose (Jack) Burdette.

Mrs. Wester was an active member of the Ford Memorial United Methodist Church of Ford City where she was a member of the Methodist Women. She worked at Foulis Cleaners of Kittanning for many years.

She enjoyed crocheting, needle point and baking. She made the best cookies.

Surviving children are Geraldine (Kenneth) McCollim of Pittsburgh, Donald Bowser of MyrtleBeach, SC, Sandra (Gerald) Klingensmith of Butler, and Kenneth Bowser of Kittanning, 22 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Frank Wester who died in 1987.

Friends will be welcomed at the at the Welch Funeral Home, Ford City, on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm & 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm with the funeral service starting at 7:00 pm with the Rev. Alison Berkey officiating. Internment will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington.
