Star Lynn (Lockhart) Schneider

Star Lynn Schneider, 62, of Ford City, formerly of Rochester, New York, died Friday, October 13, 2023, at her residence.

She was born January 18, 1961, in Dearborn, MI, daughter of Donald and Carole (Starr) Lockhart.

Star Lynn worked for many years at the Rochester Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY where she worked in many departments. She then retired from Destri Trucking of Rochester and then moved to Ford City to be closer to family. She enjoyed walking, kayaking in the river, riding her bike and electric scooter.

Surviving are her mother, Carole Stevens of Ford City; two sons, Justin Fanning of Maryland and Brandon Mealy of OH; one grandson, Kyler Fanning; one granddaughter, Stella Fanning; and three brothers: Bryan Lockhart of Templeton, Kevan (Margaret) Lockhart of Greenville, PA, and Randal (Martyne) Lockhart of Santa Fe, NM.

Star was preceded in death by father, Donald Lockhart and an infant son Ryan Fanning.

Friends will be welcomed at the Welch Funeral Service LLC., 1032 Fourth Avenue, Ford City, on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 11:00 am with Pastor Randy Herbe officiating.
