Velma M. Heffner, 75, of Kittanning, , passed away July 19, 2026 in the ACMH Hospital, Kittanning.
She was born August 30, 1950 in Kittanning, daughter of George and Velma (Stephens) Visnesky .
Velma was one of the original founders of the New Life Center of Ford City when it originally started at the Steim Hotel of Kittanning. She formerly worked at Big River Manufacturing and then worked in customer service for CVS Pharmacy,.
She had a beautiful singing voice and was a very kind, warm and caring. Her hobbies included gardening and canning.
Surviving are husband, Stanley Heffner of Kittanning, two sons, Joshua (Sue Ann) Rose of Houston, TX, and Jordan A. Heffner of Kittanning, two grandchildren, Garrett Rose and Bailey Rose, one sister, Deborah Visnesky of Kittanning and one brother, Theodore Visnesky of Kittanning.
Velma was preceded in death by her parents one sister Joyce Visnesky and one brother, George Visnesky.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 2;00 pm at the New Life Center, Ford City with her Pastor Craig Riggle officiating.
