Vera L. Ondich, 97, of Kittanning, died Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at ACMH Hospital.
Born February 2, 1928, in Manorville, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Florence (Burdette) Wilson.
Mrs. Ondich was of the Lutheran faith. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking, and spending time with family and friends. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought much joy to her life.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna (Dennis) Marken and Connie (Edward) Sitosky, both of Rural Valley; her grandchildren, Matthew (Heather) Sitosky, Vanessa (Erik) Richter, Jennifer Marken and Jay, Natalie Troutman, and Ryan (Teressa) Marken; and her great-grandchildren, Simon, Olivia, Daphne, Isla, Sebastian, Juliet, Cody, Brayden, Ella, and Claire.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Ondich, who died August 3, 2016; her siblings, Faye Wilson, Lois Klaput, Shirley Wilson, William Wilson, Harry Wilson, Ed Wilson, Jim Wilson, and Betty Patterson; and a nephew, Paul Birch.
A private visitation will be held for family on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of a private service at 1 p.m., at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City. Interment will follow in Ford City Cemetery. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.welchfh.com.
