William H. Forringer, Jr., 81, of Ford City, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017, in ACMH Hospital.
Born June 25, 1936, he was the son of the late William H. Forringer, Sr., and Mary Ann (Claypoole) Forringer.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Korean Conflict. He was a machinist, having most recently worked at Kensington Windows, and enjoyed playing the lottery and being on his C.B. radio.
Surviving are his wife, Judith (Hynick) Forringer; his children Stacy (Edward) Wasserman of Ford City, William H. Forringer III of Kittanning, Debra (Michael) Shelkey of Kansas, Sherri (Evan) Millen of Texas, Howard Forringer of Ford City, and William (Barb) Richard of Vandergrift; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Judy (Jay) Schrecengost of East Brady.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Cogley.
At Mr. Forringer's request, there will be no public visitation or services. Arrangements are under the direction of Welch Funeral Home, Ford City.
