William Ray Schall "Budweiser Bill", 75, of Kittanning, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospice of Concordia, Cabot.
He was born on September 22, 1942, to Vernon and Audrey Schall. He spent several years in Homestead, FL, but lived most of his life in the Kittanning Area.
William served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963, and worked as a salesman for Budweiser.
He loved spending time with his family and friends, and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a member of the United Baptist Church. One of his favorite things to do was going to the Firehouse Bar in McGrann, to have a couple beers with his friends. He was known there to be a member of the "True Blue Morning Club". He also loved watching old western movies, shooting pool, playing horseshoes, and going to car shows.
William is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet (Richard) Schall; son, William (Vonda) Schall, son, Gary Schall, daughter, Linda Shoemaker, daughter, Lori (Bruce) Shilling, daughter, Brenda (James) Myers, and daughter, Dianne (Gary) Schaub; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to this parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Walter Baum; a brother, James (Shirley) Schall; a sister, Dorothy (Wilson) Baum; and several other family members.
Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday, in the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where his funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, with Pastor Robert Pascoe, officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Kellersburg Cemetery, with military honors accorded by Armstrong County Honor Guard. "We will always carry your memory in our hearts...fly with the angels."
